Procurement
Suncorp Procurement is committed to maintaining a sustainable and responsible supply chain through actively managing environmental, social and governance risks with suppliers providing goods and services to, or on behalf of Suncorp.
#About Suncorp Procurement
The objective of procurement within Suncorp is to maximise shareholder value from all supplier relationships. This is achieved through the ongoing process of building reliable and long-term relationships with suppliers while reducing costs.
Suncorp Procurement is committed to maintaining a sustainable and responsible supply chain through actively managing environmental, social and governance risks with suppliers providing goods and services to, or on behalf of Suncorp. The standards expected of our suppliers are aligned to Suncorp’s Code of Conduct and ensure our supply chain is cost effective, innovative, risk managed, sustainable, responsible, fair and ethical.
#Supplier Code of Practice
Suncorp procures significant quantities of a diverse range of goods and services and we ensure strong governance of procurement activities to ensure our supply chain is cost effective, innovative, risk managed, sustainable, responsible, fair and ethical. This includes actively managing environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities in our supply chain.
The Supplier Code of Practice details Suncorp’s approach to Corporate Governance and Corporate Responsibility and the standards expected of our suppliers, and their supply chains, when providing goods and services to or on behalf of Suncorp. This document is intended to supplement the contractual terms and conditions that Suncorp has with its suppliers and applies to any third party providing products or services to or on behalf of Suncorp.
#Security Management
Suncorp is able to provide all relevant policies and standards to any third party or supplier who is currently under contract or NDA. For new third parties or suppliers who are not yet under contract or NDA, Suncorp can instead provide a reference to the Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ASD ISM) which is considered functionally equivalent to Suncorp Policies and Standards.
The ASD ISM sets out foundational cyber security principles centred on four key activities: govern, protect, detect and respond. The ASD ISM guidelines cover governance, physical security, personnel security, and information and communications technology security as they relate to the protection of information and systems.
Suncorp considers demonstrating compliance with the ASD ISM as an equivalent compliance to Suncorp Policies and Standards. Suncorp can provide a schedule of equivalence for which specific Suncorp Policies and Standards match up with which Information Security Manual and Guidelines or sections.
#Supporting information
#Australian small business suppliers
Suncorp is a proud supporter of Australian small businesses. We recognise that prompt and reliable payment can help small suppliers remain viable. As a result, in addition to our reporting under the Payment Times Reporting Scheme, Suncorp is a voluntary signatory to the Australian Supplier Payment Code.
The Australian Supplier Payment Code, developed by the Business Council of Australia, is a voluntary, industry led initiative which commits signatory companies to pay eligible Australian small business suppliers within 30 days of receipt of a valid invoice or receipt of a correct product or service from the suppliers (whichever is the later).
To be an eligible small business under the Australian Supplier Payment Code and the Payment Times Reporting Scheme the supplier must be an Australian business with an annual turnover below $10 million for the most recent income year.

Our recommended motor repairers must also comply with the Suncorp Vehicle Repairer Standard. Suncorp is also a signatory and strong supporter of the national Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
