31 January: Floods and severe weather devastate North Queensland. Suncorp teams are among the first on the ground supporting customers and providing financial assistance.
20 March: Suncorp announces a partnership with Multicultural Australia, supporting migrants with employment pathways and financial literacy workshops to help them thrive in their new country.
15 March: Suncorp's Customer Advocate Day saw our senior leaders meet with advocacy groups to discuss the issues facing our customers.
22 March: Suncorp pledges $3 billion of new credit for small businesses across Australia.
3 April: Suncorp announces a partnership with the Clontarf Foundation to help young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men dream big for their futures.
24 May: Suncorp is awarded Silver Employer Status at the Australian LGBTI Inclusion Awards.
27 June: Paypa Plane and Eggy are the first two fintech start-ups to be awarded spots on Suncorp’s new Digital Incubator program.
3 July: Suncorp is named Money Magazine's Bank of the Year and Business Bank of the Year for the second consecutive year.
21 August: Construction begins on Suncorp's new Brisbane headquarters.
21 August: Suncorp signs with QUT to research the future of automated vehicles.
26 August: The Townsville Lincraft store is back on its feet after it was flooded with 60cm of water in February. Team members give Suncorp Chairman, Christine McLoughlin, a tour.
9 September: Steve Johnston is named Suncorp Group's new CEO.
8 October: Equileap names Suncorp as the only company to achieve gender balance at all levels.
11 October: Our Auckland team shares food and conversation in celebration of Diwali. The Hindu festival of lights was celebrated in Suncorp offices across Australia and New Zealand.
13 October: Brisbane's MOSAIC Festival, sponsored by Suncorp, fills Roma Street Parklands with vibrant colour, cultures and community spirit.
29 October: School students get a taste of a career in technology, participating in Suncorp's STEM education opportunities.
3 November: The Wulguru Little Athletics Club in Townsville is one of many community groups getting storm ready through Suncorp's Storm Ready Streets program.
14 November: Suncorp releases its Environmental Performance Plan outlining our commitments for 2020-22.
26 November: Suncorp’s Community Café celebrates its second graduation ceremony on behalf of all students completing a Certificate II in Hospitality Skillset.
27 November: Suncorp wins the Susan Ryan Age Diversity Award awarded by the Australian HR Institute.
28 November: Suncorp donates $100,000 to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to support communities impacted by bushfires.
10 December: Suncorp Group's AAMI brand urges a fatality free festive season, with nine Christmas trees representing the nine children killed on roads last holiday season.
